We
invited US based Margit Galanter to create a score for us based on her
expereince of Transglobal Duets so far via the web and a relationship
developed with Miriam while she was at Earthdance, USA
Score called: Sharing Spaces
I invite you two to share space:
As you are dancing, when there is a gap (a question, what am I doing?
What shall I do?), use that intermediary space as a “place”
to dance together very specifically.
Whatever that means. Could be replaying an image you’ve seen from
your history together, dancing in the belief that you are in unison, or
talking with each other by speaking into the space to her. You can take
the time you need there to sense her. Imagine her. Use it as a way to
experience what this togetherness is beyond shared time, into making space
together. And you can let it decay; hopefully it will reinvigorate your
dancing.
Let the score serve you. So that it frees you up in the rest of the time
to really be where you are, and when the dance shifts, there is the locus
for direct convergence, and a place for together-thinking. These sharing
spaces might happen a lot in a few minutes’ time, and there may
be big long spaces between them. Dancing
